Time lapse video is such a great tool when it comes to storytelling. With the ability to illustrate a process from start to finish, it’s perfectly suited to all manner of situations.
For example, you might set up a camera in the corner of a shop, moments before a refit begins. Or maybe you want to document a crowds arriving at your outdoor festival. It might even be a photoshoot that you want to share with your followers on social media…
The possibilities are endless.
Below is a quick (seriously, it’s only 20 seconds long!) time-lapse I shot yesterday in a bike workshop.
The camera was mounted on a tabletop tripod over the back of a chair (high tech, eh?!) and left to do its thing whist the member of staff replaced a rim for a customer. Here, we see her setting the spokes into place.
Available light, no modifiers used.
So – nothing fancy, just effective… and the video is already doing its thing across all of their social media platforms.
