Episode #11 – Pizza, Paint And A Big Red Bus

This week: It’s another look into the considerations surrounding one of my latest shoots.

This one had it all – colour, fun and context. The great thing about photographing kids when they’re engrossed in an activity is that the shots look really natural. Working with natural light means I can move around freely, capturing a set of honest, unposed contextual portraits.

Some quick links to things mentioned today:

    1. @gilesbabbidge random question, if I may – what is a good camera to get that’s sort of between compact and dslr?

      1. @Isaab Rather depends on how much you’re wanting to spend. High-end compacts are worth a look… but come at a price, of course. Budget?

        1. @gilesbabbidge up to about 300 – prospective bday present :p. Had a look at one of the samsungs but not sure. My current one is awful (Nv4)

          1. @gilesbabbidge ok. Will do! Thanks for the advice!

          2. @gilesbabbidge hmm bit expensive to get to brum though and don’t think my dad is willing to stop on our way back from derby.
