Video: As Bluebells Fade

If you follow my Stories feed on Instagram or have listened to Episode #239 and #240 of the podcast, you’ll know that I recently headed out to make a short film about bluebells.

Well, I’m pleased to say that the final video is now complete and has been uploaded to my YouTube channel in the past day or so.

Here’s a quick premise:

Each year, ancient woodlands are carpeted with the familiar sight of bluebells, flowering in all their glory. We see countless pictures and videos of these, but the display doesn’t last for very long.

In the days immediately following their prime, these little plants slowly wilt away, returning the woodland to its former appearance – a somewhat sad end to an all-too-brief yearly occurrence.

I wanted to produce a short film to document this (it lasts three minutes in total), setting the footage to a soundtrack which, whilst a little experimental, I hope underpins the mood in the woodland.

I hope you enjoy it – let me know what you think.
