Caine’s Arcade

Every now and then, I come a cross a person, a video, a picture, a song or some other kind of content which makes me stop and think. Doesn’t have to be for a particularly dramatic reason, just a certain quality which triggers the little grey cells.

Whilst going about my online activities this morning, I saw that Ross over at Skysoclear shared the following video on their blog. His angle was to touch on the fact that simple storytelling works, plain and simple. This is absolutely true, whether it be through photographs, video, or a combination of the two.

The reason this film touched a nerve with me has to do with the content itself. Caine Monroy, a 9-year-old boy who built a cardboard arcade in his dad’s used auto parts store, shows great entrepreneurship – and I think we can all learn something from his clear-to-see determination to suceed.

Enjoy the video – and let me know what you think.
