Plagiarism Is Unnecessary!

Plagiarism – blatantly ripping off people’s work and calling it your own – is not cool.

As a Visibility Coach, it saddens me to see people taking the work of others and passing it off as their own.

Why? Because it simply isn’t necessary.

It also highlights the fact that those people could likely do with a little assistance when it comes to opening up their creativity.

Here’s the thing…

All the content you need and want to produce in order to promote yourself, to get noticed, to generate the income and lifestyle you want… it’s all in you!

Yeah, yeah, I know – this is in danger of sounding a little woo woo, but for the ideas and answers you want… you need look no further than yourself.

The simple fact is – you need to have clarity to begin with. For example:

Do you know your core values?

Are you clear on why you do what you do?

Is your message clear?

Do you know who you want to attract?

These and more are so important for getting the creative juices flowing.

In a strange way, it’s kind of flattering to see your lovingly-crafted work ripped off. Doesn’t make things right, of course (but we all like to feel we’re doing a good job, don’t we?).

They say you’re doing something right if you either trigger someone or have your work copied… so I guess I’m ok on all fronts there!

But seriously… PLEASE don’t take others’ work and pass it off as your own.

Find ideas you like and rework them to meet your needs.

Run things by the author if you’re unsure.

But please don’t rip others off.

Just. Be. You.

If you need clarity in order to move things forward, drop me a comment or a DM. I’ll be happy to hear what you’re aiming to achieve and see how I might be able to help you.
